Title pretty much says it all, heh. I just moved to the area and was wondering if there are any good gay/lesbian bars or clubs in Scranton/WB or the nearby area.

There aren't many, but your options are Twist, along Highway in Plains Township (Wilkes-Barre suburb), and the Twelve Penny along Birney Avenue in Moosic (Scranton suburb). I think Pittston also had a short-lived lgbtq+ bar a few years ago. The LGBT population in NEPA is massive (albeit closeted).

I stand by what I said - you don't need to go to bars to meet someone special and you certainly don't contain to go to male lover only places either.

Well they're fortunate, then, to acquire superior physical appearances because I was never smash on while living in NEPA.

What?!! Who the heck is talking about physical appearances?! I am simply stating that there are a lot more places to face someone than a prevent.

WILKES-BARRE &#; A lock that appeals to the LGBT collective will open on North Main Road in downtown Wilkes-Barre.

Heat will open in August at 69 N. Main St., a building that formerly housed a Mexican restaurant and several other restaurants before that. Dunmore resident Joe Hetsko, a former employee of Twist, which recently closed in Plains Township, has a rental contract to lease the location on North Main and Union streets from building owner Thom Greco.

Hetsko, 26, a member of the Diamond City Partnership, said he initially plans to open the bar and lounge on Fridays and Saturdays from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. beginning Aug. 1. He has a grand opening celebration planned on Aug. 8 to kick off PrideFest weekend. The exclude will feature a disc jockey and dancing.

Hetsko said he believes downtown Wilkes-Barre is a superb place for the bar and lounge since it is close to King&#;s College and Wilkes University and it&#;s an area complete of culture and diversity.

&#;It&#;s filling the void of something the community needs,&#; Hetsko said.
