Chicago Pride Parade  

Chicago's Pride celebration consists of a full month of festivities and events, culminating with the Chicago Pride Parade, which traditionally takes place the last Sunday of June.

 

Chicago Pride Fest takes place along North Halsted St. in the North Side neighborhood colloquially referred to a ‘Boystown’ the weekend prior to the parade. 


The Chicago Pride March (June 29, 11am)

The 54th annual Chicago Pride Parade steps off at 11 a.m. on Sunday, June 29,  from the corners of Sheridan and Broadway ( North) on Chicago's north side.

 

The celebration treks through the north side of the city, ending near the intersection of Diversey Parkway and Sheridan Road in Lincoln Park, walking through some of the city's most vibrant neighborhoods.

 

 

The annual parade, which started as a protest march in after the Stonewall Riots in New York City, has grown into the city's second-largest parade of nearly entries, typically attracting more than 1 million people to multiple north

    Everything you need to know for Chicago Identity festival Parade

    After a two-year hiatus due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Chicago Pride Parade is back this Sunday, and is expected to be bigger than ever. 

    “I strongly believe that after a two-year hiatus, this Movement Parade will be the largest in Chicago history,” said 44th Ward Ald. Tom Tunney. 

    City officials predict the parade to be bigger than ever with over a million people expected at the celebration in the Lakeview and Uptown neighborhoods, including the LGBTQ enclave popularly established as 'Boystown.'

    Planning to attend? Here's everything you demand to know.

    ROUTE AND TIME: The parade starts at 12 Noon at the corner of Broadway and Montrose. The parade featuring  colorful entries will then travel the block parade route south on Broadway; then south on Halsted; then east on Belmont; then south on Broadway; then east on Diversey to Cannon Drive.

    There will be ten cross-over streets along the march route: Montrose at Broadway, Irving Park at Broadway, Wellington at Broadway, Barry
