Pride Celebration Details and Parking

Join Greater Palm Springs on Sunday, November 9th at AM for the biggest event of all, the Lgbtq+ Pride Parade! Expect vibrant themed floats, representations of LGBTQ heroes, and an abundance of fabulousness. The parade starts at the Uptown Design District and makes its way to the pride festival at Amado.

There is plenty of parking in the downtown area, but plan extra time as regular spots become scarce during the parade. Consider parking away from Palm Canyon Dr. at locations like the new Downtown P

Thousands of attendees lined the mile-long celebration route along Palm Canyon Drive for the annual Palm Springs Pride Celebration on Sunday. More than organizations and businesses marched in the parade, which stretched from Tachevah Guide to East Amado Thoroughfare, terminating at the Self-acceptance Festival street fair with outdoor DJs, booths, nourishment, and drinks.

The crowd consisted of locals and out-of-towners, like Art Dupont and Jerry Kuehl, who traveled from Scottsdale, Ariz. The two had just met Ali Montano and Thomas Renau, who said they live “right up the road.”

It was the locals’ second pride since moving to Palm Springs full-time last year. They compared Palm Springs Pride to their previous hometown’s celebration, noting they preferred the city’s more fun and homey atmosphere..

“In San Francisco, Pride became super corporate,” Renau said. “We adoration the community aspect of Palm Springs.”
