“Shadowhunters” ( - Present)
“Shadowhunters”, a television show based off of Cassandra Clare’s manual series “The Mortal Instruments,” has been monumentally vital in the discussion of LGBTQA+ representation on-screen. Not only does “Shadowhunters” enclose canonically gay, lesbian, bi, and asexual characters, but a majority of them are characters of colour. However, “Shadowhunters” is not without its issues when it comes to lgbtq+ visibility.
