Jasper, Alberta is a brief mountain town that is the perfect vacation spot. Jasper Celebration Festival takes place each year in April. The Snow Lgbtq+ fest Festival includes a colourful rainbow flag skiing parade at Marmot Basin with around km ski and snowboard runs.

The Event

  • Next Edition: Typically a three-day weekend event during mid April.
  • Jasper Pride is an annual celebration of diversity in the picturesque town of Jasper, set against the stunning backdrop of the Canadian Rockies.

Getting to Jasper

  • Jasper is at the crossroads of Edmonton, Calgary and Vancouver, all of which acquire international airports that are serviced by major national and international carriers.
  • The Edmonton International Airport is the closest airport to Jasper. It&#;s located km&#;s east of Jasper, approximately hours driving age. There are shuttles available from the airport to Jasper.
  • For a chance to sit back, unwind and see scenery that you can’t see from any road, take the train! There are two rail services that can bring you to Jasper. VIA Rail C

Jasper is a traditionally diverse and welcoming community attracting travelers, workers, students, ski bums, and residents from all over the world. This unique atmosphere is a perfect fit for the resident queer community, the 2SLGBTQ+ traveler, and the many 2SLGBTQ+ couples who wed in Jasper every year. It's also the perfect location for the annual Jasper Pride & Ski Festival!

    Land Acknowledgement: The University of Calgary, located in the heart of Southern Alberta, both acknowledges and pays tribute to the traditional territories of the peoples of Treaty 7, which include the Blackfoot Confederacy (comprised of the Siksika, the Piikani, and the Kainai First Nations), the Tsuut’ina First Nation, and the Stoney Nakoda (including Chiniki, Bearspaw, and Goodstoney First Nations).     OUT Jasper LGBTQA Society is pushing the movement of LGBTQA equality and human rights through the mountains and into the Yellowhead region.

    OUT Jasper is a peer and advocacy collective for the GSA, Womxn loving womxn, Gay, Bisexual, Trans, and Queer, Questioning Two-Spirit people living, working, and passing through Jasper Alberta.  We also extend our arrive as requested into the Yellowhead region.

     

    The town of Jasper Alberta is located inside Jasper National Park in the heart of the Canadian Rockies.
