Kelly McGillis admits she has been a lesbian since she was 12
Actress Kelly McGillis has finally “outed” herself as a lesbian.
At 51, the star who was Tom Cruise’s love interest in Top Gun position an end to decades of rumours by revealing she was 12 when she realised her sexuality.
The single mother of two, who has been married and divorced twice, had previously always denied being gay.
But, asked whether she was now looking for a male or a girl during an interview with lesbian website , she stated her next boyfriend would “definitely” be a female.
She disclosed: “I’m done with the man thing. I need to move on in life. It’s a part of entity true to yourself. That’s been a challenge for me.”
Kelly, who played an Amish woman in Witness, then said that she “was probably 12” when she realised she was gay.

There&#;s nothing more fun than spreading out the Sunday paper and reading it over coffee. As I was going through the Los Angeles Times this morning, I was especially struck my a new interview with Kelly McGillis in the Calendar section. She&#;s about to open in The Little Foxes at the Pasadena Playhouse as Regina, the part played by Bette Davis in the film.

Kelly McGillis Joins Lesbian Partner in Civil Union
Sept. 20, &#; -- "Top Gun" actress Kelly McGillis, who last year came out as a lesbian, has entered into a civil union with girlfriend Melanie Leis, a Modern Jersey sales executive.
The ceremony was performed in a municipal court in Collingswood, N.J., where the couple lives, according to the wedding announcement in The Modern York Times. Leis, 42, works at Independence Communications, which provides Muzak to businesses.
