Gay hiking meetup
Queer Hiking
Pretty much what the title says! Hiking with Queer people! That means Gays, Lesbians, Bisexuals, Trans Folks, Intersex, Queer Curious, Allies, Genderfluid, Non-binary, Asexuals, Pansexuals I could go on! If you're Queer, be here!
Being lgbtq+ in public can be a daunting, stressful, and/or lonely exposure. With Queer Hiking you can rest assured that you'll hold a quality and pleasant moment with supportive people who know you or have space to learn more about things they aren't familiar with.
For me, personally, being queer in a fitness related space has always been an extremely stressful experience for me. I wanted to initiate this group so that gender non-conforming people can feel comfortable getting their sweat on in a safe and supportive environment.
Levels of difficulty will vary and we'll always let you know if something is a beginner, intermediate, or experienced hike. I stay near Griffith Park and there are sooooo many paths to explore but Queer Hiking can be ANYWHERE in the LA Area. :)

The Queer Outdoors
The Queer Outdoors is once again hosting our annual camping trip! This year it’s taking place at Muskegon Articulate Park the weekend of July 25thth. We own reserved a rustic campsite at the organizational organization campground in the park. We had a blast at our previous camping trips and can’t stay to host again this year!
Muskegon State Park is on the west side of the state roughly three hours away from Detroit, Ann Arbor, and Ypsilanti. It’s situated on the shores of Lake Michigan, has three miles of beach access, 12 miles of hiking trails, a luge track, boat launch and other amenities.
For this event, an RSVP on Meetup alone does not indicate that you are attending. You must fill out this google form by July 11 if you are interested in camping with us:
To cover the cost of the campsite reservation and food, the cost is $40 per person for the weekend. If amount is prohibitive or if there are other considerations that may impact your ability to camp comfortably with us, please demonstrate this on the google form and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.
